Ash Sobhe gets an inside look at the Legacy Project...and adds a twist of his own that makes our Teen Ambassadors reconsider their assumptions about perceived value.
Project Discovery is host to one of the largest Ropes Challenge courses in the U.S and as a federal 501c3 (application in process) seeks to provide experiential leadership and youth empowerment programs to low income and underserved individuals and communities. Founder Michael Selby, Ed.D., has developed his expertise in training and education by leading thousands of groups, from Fortune 500 Companies to at-risk youth groups, through experiential learning exercises over the course of the last 30 years. Dr. Selby holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Education, a Masters in Recreation and a second Masters in Counseling and Education Psychology, and a Doctorate in the Social-Psychology of Leadership. Like the Forever14 founders, Mike is a parent of teenage children and has also had personal experience with suicide loss.
